About Chi. Shashwat Santhanakrishnan

Chiranjeev Shashwat Santhanakrishnan is a mridangam artist based in the Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida areas. 

He began his musical journey at the age of six under the eminent guidance of Guru Shri M.R. Venupuri Srinivas, gaining a deep and immersive understanding of Carnatic music’s primary percussion instrument.

Guided by his guru’s dedicated tutelage and a deep passion for the art form, Shashwat has performed extensively across Florida—including Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Orlando, and Tampa—as well as internationally in Chennai, Pudukkottai, and Thiruvarur. He is a featured performer at the annual events of SS Academy in Jacksonville, as well as the annual Tyagaraja Aradhana and monthly concert series hosted by the Navarasa Academy of Performing Arts in Tampa.
